Quoteline Direct launches an innovative insurance product aimed at reducing premiums and reducing accidents for young drivers.
Manchester based insurance broker Quoteline Direct have always worked hard to drive-down the cost of insurance for young drivers, and their latest product offers a discount of up to 40% for anyone aged 17-25.
"Young drivers have traditionally had a tough time finding affordable car insurance, but all that's about to change" begins Paul O'Gorman, group director of Quoteline Direct.
"Insurance premiums are calculated to reflect risk and because young drivers are statistically more likely to have accidents; their premiums are understandably higher.
"However, if you dig a little deeper into the figures they make for illuminating reading. Traffic accidents peak after dark, making daylight drivers both safer and less likely to make an insurance claim.
"And it's this group of statistically safer daytime drivers that we are appealing to. All we ask is that you don't use your car between 11.00pm and 05.00am and in turn we can arrange comprehensive cover at a much lower cost"
To ensure that motorists stick to the agreed hours a small GPS device is fitted into the car and an additional charge of £45.00 is levied if the vehicle is used during these 'Red Hours'. Otherwise it works just like any other fully-comprehensive insurance policy, allowing you to build-up a no claims discount and make substantial savings.
"The feedback has been really positive" continues Paul O'Gorman "young drivers would rather be on the road in the daytime than off the road and saving-up. Parents have welcomed the product as it's easier on their pockets and gives them peace of mind. And road safety campaigners have also lent their support".
