Quoteline Direct is one of the first insurance brokers to truly take advantage of the recently launched Flood Re scheme which aims to provide affordable insurance for homeowners living in flood risk areas.
Flood Re was launched at the beginning of April and Phil Stevens Business Development Manager at Quoteline Direct explains why they are rising above the competition “At Quoteline Direct we’ve been helping people find sensibly priced insurance for nearly half a century. We aren’t like other brokers and we won’t shy away from insuring non-standard properties; including homes at risk of flooding. In fact, we’ve got a specialist team dedicated to finding competitive cover for properties that are difficult to insure.
“Flood Re is great news for homeowners living in flood risk areas and the scheme is long overdue. Too many people have been forced out of the market for too long by sky-high premiums and staggering levels of claims excess. Homeowners can now look forward to finding affordable insurance; although they still have a few hoops to jump through.
“Despite the fact that the scheme has been years in the planning; the launch of Flood Re seems to have taken providers and brokers by surprise. IT departments and software houses are working overtime to catch-up with the changes and only a handful are currently offering cover. As far as we are aware there aren’t any other brokers or price comparison sites who are genuinely in a position to compare policies.
“As I said at Quoteline Direct we like to do things differently and we are in a unique position to compare cover from a number of leading providers. Homeowners at risk of flooding haven’t got time or money to waste and we’re here to plug a gap in the market. If your home is at risk of flooding you don’t need to wait until renewal to change providers, you could make serious savings by changing now even if you have to pay a cancellation fee”.
